GWZ XO Sauce beef short ribs
Another delicious delicious dish for meat lovers to go with plain rice. This dish may take some time in terms of defrosting the short ribs. But once you get into cooking it it’s quick and easy! Loads of flavour and the XO sauce will definitely enhance this further giving you a kick of spice! Enjoy!
Season the beef short ribs with salt and black pepper.
Heat up a wok or pan add some oil, with high heat sear both sides of the beef short ribs until it’s looking golden brown.
Remove and set aside and rest for 2 minutes.
Then cut the short ribs into smaller pieces between the bones.
Clean the wok, add oil and stir fry some ginger, shallots, garlic and spring onions until aroma comes out then add in the short ribs.
Add a dash of Shaoxin wine, then season with soy sauces both dark and light, sugar and sesame oil.
Lastly add in some XO sauce as well. Stir fry for another 15 seconds or so then plate. Before serving place another scoop of XO sauce on top for more flavour and nicer presentation.
•PS The short ribs should not be cut in the first frying stage. This keeps juices inside so the beef would not dry up
•PPS Do not pour wine on ingredients directly, wine should be poured on the side of wok/pan
